Meet Shadoe Stewart, DDS, MS
Shadoe grew up in Goldsboro, N.C. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelors degree in American studies. He earned his certificate in Intensive Brewing Science and Engineering through the American Brewers Guild and worked for several years in brewing and restaurant management. Shadoe went on to earn a master degree in Physiology from North Carolina State University, as well as his Doctor of Dental Surgery, Master of Science and Certificate in Periodontology from the UNC Adams School of Dentistry. In his time as a student and resident at Adams, Shadoe received a number of scholarships, fellowships, and awards. He also served as chief resident of the Graduate Periodontology Program, held many leadership positions, and was active in community service and volunteer dental clinics.
Shadoe is a current member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Dental Education Association, the North Carolina Society for Periodontists, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is active in both the Guilford and Forsyth County Dental Societies. He returns regularly to the Adams School of Dentistry to teach students and residents as an adjunct faculty member.
Shadoe and his wife, Casey, enjoy spending time with family and exploring new trails with their dog, Ruth.
